We will and can check plasticisation when the plastic injection mold is finally in China. But this is unlikely as the sister injection mold (which is running with one of our suppliers in China) has initially produced acceptable results and tan got more brittle. Our present plastic parts are much better, but I am still not happy as I want to make sure that I get them as good as possible in China prior to shipping the injection mold to US. We have already increased to temperature up to the maximum the Chinese manufacturer of the material recommends and have increased the cycle time by 5 seconds. Gate size and location are component design determined and can't be altered. The holding pressure while high is not excessive for a part of this shape and with such an amount of small features.One thing I will be checking, when the Chinese injection mold is finally in our factory, is the number of shots held in the barrel and I will try to optimize this together with all machine parameters.
