Shital Chemical Industries, Located at 194/1, Sokhda village, Khambhat, INDIA and established in 1996 is one of the group companies involved in the manufacturing of fine chemicals for pharmaceutical and agricultural industries.Mr. Hirabhai Patel and Mr. Jayantibhai Patel founded the first of the group company, SIMA Products in 1970. The company was involved in the chlorination of Toluene and manufacture of Acetyl Chloride And Benzoyl Chloride. Later, the company expanded and put up a new facility in the name of Gujarat Industrial chemicals Corporation in 1982 at Sokhda village near Khambhat. The company also introduced other acid chloride such as Chloroacetyl chloride for the pesticides market, and 2-Furoyl chloride, P-chlorobenzoyl chloride, orthochlorobenzoyl chloride and orthochlorobenzotrichloride for the pharmaceutical industries.In the last five years, the group expanded its activities and build two new facilities in the name of Shital Chemical Industries (1996) and Gujarat Halogen Petrochem Corporation (1997).The major focus of the group has been chlorination and manufacture of acidchlorides. It's been the largest Suppliers of benzoyl chloride in the Indian pharmaceutical and dyes industries, Shital Chemical Industries has recently introduced N-Chlorosuccinimide and N-Bromosuccinimide. The groups Commitments to the Quality and timely delivery of the material has built up good customers relationship.The group companies are also committed to safety and environment. The staff is well trained for safe handling of chlorine and acid chloride. The local environment regulations are also followed.The staff includes seven technical people, three managers six administrators and sixty workers. Recently, Hemant Patel, Ph.D. son of Hiralal Patel has joined the group. Dr Patel received his Ph.D. From Purdue University, USA and carried out postdoctoral research with Prof. E. C. Taylor at Princeton University.
