G. P. de Silva and Sons is a leading exporter of cinnamon in all forms. In addition to producing high grade cinnamon through a process evolved through generations of experience, the Company also boasts of a skilled team that hand picks the best of the other spices. With the expansion of business activities the Company has opened up an office dedicated to exports in the suburbs of Colombo while the head office, stores complex and workshops remain in the coastal city of Ambalangoda, 80 km south of Colombo. One of the key assets of the Company is a 260 strong dedicated workforce - a worker friendly environment and a commitment to worker welfare has enabled the Company to retain the skills developed over the years.
Believing in the age-old adage "The customer knows best" the directors have fostered close personal links with their foreign buyers, which has contributed in no small measure to the success of the Company. The Company's new office in Los Angeles California opens a gateway to the North American and South American markets and will no doubt further facilitate and strengthen customer contact.
