AskAFarmer Limited (AAF Ltd) is a company that was established in 2011. The idea behind the business is to provide healthy early maturity, high yield, horticultural produce using agricultural best practices and climate smart technology.AAF believes in a combination of cutting edge, high quality, and efficient Farming technology in advancement of its commercial farming activities. This is with the aim of upholding high standards of agribusiness to enhance food security locally, regionally and globally through mechanization and use of irrigation.AAF Ltd Management team is led by Liz Ndirangu who has a bias in Technology and Strategic Management and Joe Ndirangu who has extensive knowledge in Finance, Economics and Business Management. The company currently has five staff three permanent and two casuals. Its expected that this number will grow as the company get into full operation.AskAFarmer Ltd plans to concentrate on Sweet Potatoes, Butter Nut Squash and Lima Beans as its primary product line. The company farm is located along the Equator on the eastern edge of the Great Rift Valley. It lies in the rain shadow of Mount Kenya, at the coordinates Longitude 01241.7N and Latitude 362724.6 E and an altitude of 1982 M above sea level. This means that the area receives much less rainfall, which is particularly well-suited to the selected product.This climatic condition allows AskAFarmer to produce throughout the year which means that the farm is under cultivation for the maximum 3 seasons in a calendar year.
