Virgin coconut oil (VCO), extracted from fresh coconut meat withoutchemical processes. It is rich in medium chain fatty acids,particularly lauric acid and is a treasure trove of minerals,vitamins, antioxidants and is an excellent nutraceutical. It hasabout 50% lauric acids, having qualities similar to mother'smilk.Coconuts are deshelled followed by paring and dewatering. Paredcoconuts are disintegrated by passing through Rotary wedge typecoconut cutter having sieve plate (3mm hole) through which shreddedcoconut gratings are expressed in a screw/ hydraulic press toextract fresh coconut milk. The coconut milk is filtered and passedthrough a high speed centrifuge wherein the coconut oilgets separated from the coconut milk. The coconut oil is thenpacked in consumer packs in an automatic packing machine.
