I am a student working on a class product involing fish oils/fish meal. We are developing a purely hypothetical process to produce fish oil/fish meal from an invasive fish species in the USA. I am looking for any information on how fish oil is produced, the chemical content of purified fish oil, and the regualtions governing fish oil/fish meal production and sale.
