We work with South African and African traders, manufacturers and retailers to develop local supply chains for Fairtrade products, in so doing increasing the Fairtrade offer to South African consumers. By encouraging all-African supply chains, we aim to foster value-adding activities locally, thus keeping the benefits and profits generated by Fairtrade in the continent ultimately encouraging African development.In order to grow the impact of Fairtrade, we need to grow the market for Fairtrade labelled products as well as the awareness of Fairtrade among consumers, institutions and other stakeholders. To this end we organize campaigns, events and other promotional activities to educate the public about Fairtrade and foster the demand for Fairtrade certified products.
