My company grown mushroom Mushroom is aninteresting modification of fungal form of life. They are non-greenfungal plants occurring seasonally in many parts of the world invarious habitats ranging from sandy plains to tropic forests andgreen meadows to roadsides. There are more than 2000 edible speciesof which only a few have been brought under cultivation oncommercial scale. Of these 80 have been grown experimentally, 20cultivated commercially and 5 are produced on industrial scalethroughout the world. The species grown more commonly and havinggood export potential are, Agaricusbisporus (white buttonmushroom), Volvariella spp. (paddy straw mushroom), Pleurotus spp.(Oyster mushroom).
