Rahmat Fruit Processing Corp. is a family run business. We have been in the dry fruit trade for generations and continue to export dry fruits mainly raisins globally. Our main markets for export over the decades have been European and American. We first imported our processing plant in 1974 from Fresno, California and since have upgraded our facility to reflect market requirements.
Afghanistan till the early 1970s was the biggest exporter of raisins. It mainly produces Thompson Seedless Raisins or commonly referred to as Californian raisins. In fact it was California that took Afghan grape plant in the 1960s to produce its raisins. Even today Afghanistan is a big producer and exporter of raisins.
