Kam Inlets was registerd in Kenya in 2005. It is involved in procuring, transporting and marketing farm produce from small scale farmers. We mostly buy from farmers in the Mt.Kenya region and the Central parts of Kenya. Our main markets are the major towns of Kenya mostly Nairobi and Mombasa. We currently have 4 Directors, 7 permanent employees and 8 temporary employees.We have orgnised farmers who we offer Agricultural xtension services and therefore most of them feel morally and socially obliged to sell their produce to Kam Inlets.As part of our expansion strategy, we would like to venture in the export market as this would not only improve our turn over but also fetch farmers improved returns for their produce.We are also looking at building capacity for our small scale farmers in terms on reducing the overall cost of production through procuring in their behalf fertilisers, seeds and even pesticides at affordable prices utilising the economies of scale concept.
