N.M.C is a state owned establishment and one of the subsidiary companies of the HOLDING METALLURGICAL INDUSTRIES .The company originally named Al Nasr Phosphate co. , its activities extended from Alexandria in the north to Aswan in the South . In July 2000 , Red Sea Phosphate co. was merged with N.M.C and in April 2001 Phosphate Mines of Abu Zabal Fertilizers Co. was also merged with N.M.C.
