The Apaneca ILamatepec mountain range where our little slice of heaven rests is by far one of the prettiest places on our green Earth. We sit on the western volcanic region off one of the main peaks of the Santa Ana. The altitude in that area ranges from 500- 2365m, our farms reach from around 1250 to 1665m. The lush area is feed by the abundant rainfall in the area which ranges from 1800 to 2300mm annually and the temperature is ideal for the variations of Arabica we grow at around 12.0 C to 29.1 C. This area is known for producing coffees that are: sweet, floral, fragrant, chocolate-like, nutty, apricot, creamy, citrus, fruity flavor combinations. The acidity is normally soft and fine with a very consistent aftertaste. In 2002/2003 84% of the winners of the cup of excellence came from the same areas as our farms.
